Le shunt Victron est un composant nécessaire pour les compteurs de courant à affichage analogique ou numérique, car ces mesures sont normalement effectuées à une très faible tension.
Généralement, la résistance d'un shunt est connue avec précision et est utilisée pour déterminer l'intensité du courant électrique circulant à travers cette charge en mesurant la différence de tension à travers elle.
Plus la tension de mesure est faible au niveau des interrupteurs, plus les effets sur le reste du circuit du système sont faibles.
